Emre Can is on the verge of completing a £25m [Daily Mail] move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund with the Germany international set to undergo a medical on Friday – and many Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter.
The former Liverpool star has fallen out of favour at Juventus with Can becoming a distant figure at the club under new manager Maurizio Sarri, who left him out of the team’s Champions League squad this season.
Can, 26, joined the Serie A champions from Liverpool in 2018 on a free transfer and will return to Germany after making just eight appearances for Juventus this campaign. The former Bayer Leverkusen star will join up with Dortmund on an initial loan deal with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
The former Bayern Munich prodigy initially enjoyed a successful inaugural campaign under Massimiliano Allegri last season clocking up 37 appearances and scoring four goals in a stellar first season that culminated in the club’s eighth consecutive Serie A title.
Originally brought in at Liverpool by former manager Brendan Rodgers for a fee of just £10m, Can made 167 appearances for the Reds during a four-year tenure at Anfield- he scored 14 goals and registered 12 assists during that time.

Can’s final appearance for Liverpool came in the 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid with the German making a late cameo off the bench before leaving the current Premier League leaders on a free transfer.
Following the move, many Reds supporters have taken to Twitter to share their views on how Can’s career has panned out since leaving Merseyside to pursue a new challenge.
Couldn’t care less about Bobby Duncan, Phil Coutinho or Emre Can. But notice the common denominator? Leave Liverpool and career goes downhill. Grass is not greener. #LFC

Coutinho forced his way out of Liverpool to Barca he ended up been loaned out, Emre Can ran down his contract and left for Juventus, now a loan agreement has been reached with Dortmund for him…they never knew Liverpool were pulling them above their weight

I was angry when @emrecan_ left #LFC because I saw him as a player who would take us forward. But it never worked out fully for him at Juve and he looks to be headed to Dortmund now. I truly hope he does well there. He never disrespected our club to force a move or after it.
