Liverpool have dominated FIFA 20’s Team of the Year 55-man shortlist with 10 of the Red’s Champions League-winners up for nomination.
EA have released a list of 55 players with the accolade based on individual performances and achievements for 2019, with fans able to vote for their favourite XI.
The European champions have almost 1/5 of the shortlist nominated after becoming continental kings of Europe for a sixth time in June whilst emerging as runaway Premier League leaders this season.

It’s just another reminder of the remarkable work undergone at the club following the Red’s resurgence back to the top of European football over the past few years.
Liverpool looked a team lacking ideas and belief when Jurgen Klopp came to the helm in 2015 but has since assembled a side that is littered with characters that have seen the doubters emerge from believers to sky-high achievers.
The only noticeable absentee from the list is Red’s central defender Joel Matip. The former Cameroon international has enjoyed an outstanding year after emerging from Liverpool’s fourth-choice centre back into a player capable of matching the devastating levels of Virgil van Dijk.
In the Champions League final, it was Matip and Van Dijk who were ever-present to thwart and frustrate Tottenham Hotspur in the 2-0 victory in Madrid.
At times, the 28-year-old has even exceeded the performance levels of Van Dijk – especially in the early stages of the 2019/20 campaign.
The former Schalke star has made 108 appearances for the Reds since his free transfer in 2016.
However, Matip has been absent from Liverpool’s previous seven league matches following a knee injury. He is expected to return to action in the new year.
From Thursday 12 December until Friday 20 December, fans can cast their votes online through the official FIFA website.
The final Team of the Year will be announced in January once special TOTY player items will be released in FUT packs for a limited time in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team (EA Website)
