Mark Lawrenson has predicted for Liverpool to establish a ten-point lead at the top of the Premier League table in his weekly BBC Sport predictions column.

The European champions travel to the south coast to face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday whilst title-chasers Leicester City travel to Aston Villa. Premier League champions Manchester City host local rivals United with the Citizens currently 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

The Reds have an almost perfect record in the league this season registering 43 points –  from a possible 45. Jurgen Klopp’s team are also unbeaten in 32 league matches – a club record – and the German manager recorded his 100th league win for the club following the 5-2 victory against Everton.

Lawrenson has backed Liverpool to claim their 15th league win of the season when they travel to the Vitality Stadium. Meanwhile, the five-time league winning defender has predicted Leicester to drop points for the first time in eight matches after backing Dean Smith’s Villans to snatch a draw on Sunday afternoon.

The BBC Sport pundit has also called Pep Guardiola’s team to comfortably brush aside the Red Devils at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening. If the results go the way Lawrenson has suggested Liverpool will have established a 10-point lead at the Premier League summit.
