Liverpool are expecting several players to return from holidays or injury next week as the final preparations for the new season get underway.
Klopp told the media: “When we get back, hopefully six players can join us. Naby Keita should be ready to train hopefully, Xherdan Shaqiri should be ready to train and then hopefully play.
“Mo, Bobby and Ali and a week later Sadio Mane as well. They are important players for us.”
Shaqiri aside, having those six players start their pre-season is great news as they are so important to Liverpool and their chances of starting the season on a positive note.
Salah, Mane, Firmino and Alisson are especially important but it’s vital for Keita to return to peak fitness and truly get his Liverpool career underway after a frustrating first season at the club.
He has the potential to become the best midfielder in the league if he is able to stay free of injury for long enough.
Meanwhile, it will be fascinating to see how Alisson performs in his second season at the club after his unbelievable debut campaign established him as the best goalkeeper in the world.
It was his second season playing at a world-class level and securing three Golden Gloves in the Premier League, Champions League and Copa America has propelled him into the Balon d’Or debate.
The Brazilian will be refreshed after his holiday following his country’s win in the Copa America and if all goes well, he will win more silverware for Liverpool.
