Liverpool fans were commenting on Twitter that Divock Origi scoring from a Jordan Henderson rebound seemed familiar as the Belgian scored against Sporting Lisbon.
The striker showed his predatory instincts as he pounced on a loose ball in the box to score after Jordan Henderson had a header saved in the first half against Sporting Lisbon.
The equaliser came after Simon Mignolet’s 4th-minute howler allowed Bruno Fernandes to score from 30 yards out despite the shot being driven straight at the goalkeeper.
The game was brought level by Origi’s goal and it seemed a little familiar and fans picked up on this very quickly, citing a historic moment that occurred just a few months ago.

Liverpool went on to draw with the Portuguese outfit in New York but fans were happy to reminisce about the glorious night at Anfield in May that just about guaranteed them a sixth European Cup.
Origi might not be the most fashionable striker and Henderson is hardly a headline-grabbing midfielder but the two have become legends in the eyes of Liverpool fans for their heroics in the Champions League last season.
They will be hoping to earn more acclaim but in the Premier League this time as they set their sights on a first league title in 30 years for Liverpool.
