Borussia Dortmund young gun Jadon Sancho has backed Rhian Brewster to become a huge star after they met up during a friendly in the United States.
The 19-year-old Liverpool forward has been hugely impressive so far in pre-season, scoring three goals in four games.
With the Academy graduate set to be a part of the first-team setup, fans are really excited to see how well he can do in his debut Premier League season.
Sancho told the Telegraph: “I feel like he can do it. I have played with him. I know how good he is. He causes defenders nightmares.
“He is a great player. I feel like he is at the right club, he is developing and he is still so young. He is developing and that is the main thing. Just give him the time and patience and you will see.
“I played with him a lot for England and he scored a lot of goals for us and I have assisted him. It’s a good thing for us to have someone like him.”
Brewster will play second fiddle to Roberto Firmino this season and his form in pre-season is promising but he will need time to adjust fully to the rigours of the Premier League.
It speaks volumes about how highly the coaches at Melwood think of him given that he was actually supposed to debut last season before he underwent surgery on an ankle injury he sustained.
What should make his life a lot easier is that he seems to be very close to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain which means he already has that strong support system.
