Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren has been linked with a move to AC Milan, with Tancredi Palmieri claiming the Italians have contacted the Anfield outfit.
Not only has the beIN football correspondent claimed that Liverpool have been approached by Milan, Gianluca Di Marzio has also reported that the seven-time European champions want Lovren.
They are looking to rebuild once again as they look to return to the top of the European game and overcome Juventus in Serie A and believe that Lovren is a player that can help them do that.
The Croatian has had some terrific highs as a Liverpool player, with the goal he scored against Borussia Dortmund in front of the Kop to send the Reds to the Europa League semi-finals the highlight of his career on Merseyside.
He’s also been the villain on a number of occasions and has frustrated fans by being inconsistent and prone to making errors in crucial moments of games.
His two defensive errors against Manchester City in January effectively cost Liverpool the chance to extend their lead over the Mancunians to 10 points which would have changed the Premier League title race dramatically.
You will be genuinely hard-pressed to find a Liverpool fan that is vehemently against selling Lovren and after spending five years at the club, he can have very little complaints.
Selling him will slightly complicate Jurgen Klopp’s transfer plans but it won’t be too hard to find a defender willing to serve as the Reds’ fourth choice central defender.
