Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour told talkSPORT that Liverpool signing Matthijs de Ligt would be the difference in the Premier League title race.
He said on Monday morning on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show (6:47 am, June 10, 2019): “That would be unbelievable.
“If they can get him as well, de Ligt, that could be the difference.”
Liverpool might have won the Champions League for the sixth time after their win in Madrid took their tally of European Cups to at least twice as many as any other club in England yet the Reds are yet to win the Premier League.
Owner John W. Henry told Sky Sports last month that his club will try again to topple Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City as the Reds gear up to take on the Mancunians next season.
What Klopp does in the transfer market will play a major role in determining what the 2019/20 season holds for the Anfield faithful and the likes of de Ligt and Nicolas Pepe could be real game changers for the Reds.

The Northern Irishman’s summer plans were essentially common knowledge but Klopp seems to have plugged the leaks and the once reliable local journos are now in the dark as much as supporters are.
