Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has admitted to Bild that he wants Jurgen Klopp as manager of the Bavarian club.

Translated by Goal, Beckenbauer said: “I wish for nothing more than that one day he will come to Bayern.

“For me he is one of the world’s best coaches. What he started in Dortmund, he has refined with Liverpool.”

The German is one of the best managers in Europe and would most likely take Bayern to where they want to be both domestically and in the Champions League.

Since arriving at Liverpool, Klopp has developed his side into the best team in Europe and is committed to the Merseyside club, with reports suggesting he is being offered a new £10m contract.

If he signs the deal, the 51-year-old will be the highest-paid person at the club.

There’s every chance that Klopp will join the Bundesliga champions in a several years’ time but for now, he’s going nowhere.
