Owner John W. Henry has promised that Liverpool will improve ahead of the 2019/20 season and supporters are ecstatic as they envision a thrilling transfer window.

He told Sky Sports: “We are going to have a go [at improving the squad]. [But] we feel like we are strong already,” he said.

“We haven’t gone through that process yet because we are still playing but every year we have shown we are willing to invest in the right kind of players and do it the right way so that the club is sustainable.”

Liverpool spent a lot of money last year attracting van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita to the club.

With a few areas of the squad still requiring investment, Henry’s words are hugely encouraging and fans have reacted excitedly.

Some fans have said they want to see the club sign Kylian Mbappe while others have just revealed their excitement.

Of course, it’s nigh on impossible to sign Mbappe but Liverpool fans have every right to dream as the club is in the best possible position it could be after two seasons of progression.

Not only have Liverpool made a lot of money over the last few seasons, they’ve made a net profit despite buying ~£170m worth of players and can afford to splash the cash once more in search of their first Premier League title.
