Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal this summer and the forward has explained what he expects from moving to a new club.

He told Marca: “I am aware that there are several interested teams, but I am still a Villarreal player and there is nothing concrete.

“It’s good that I am linked to great clubs, because that shows that hard work has its reward. I do not want to rush to go to another club. But if I ever had to leave, I should make sure I go to a club where I’m going to play.”

Goal.com reported last week that the 20-year-old is a player that Liverpool are considering as part of their summer transfer plans ahead of an important off-season for the Reds.

Although he only scored eight goals and provided just three assists, Jurgen Klopp is a fan and has reportedly identified him as the ideal man to come in and provide competition for Mane and Salah.

The Nigerian winger is a strong dribbler but is very raw. Of course, Klopp has shown time and time again he is able to turn the rawest talents into world class operators.

While Sadio Mane was a Premier League proven player when he arrived at Liverpool, Klopp made him into the world class forward that he is now.

Seeing as Chukwueze is still only 20 years of age, he still has loads of room to improve and there’s every chance that he could be another hidden gem turned into one of the most valuable assets in the world under Klopp.
