Don Hutchison has urged Liverpool to sign Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele this summer as Jurgen Klopp searches for a new attacker to add to his ranks.

Barcelona agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund in 2017 to sign Ousmane Dembele, initially paying £96.8m with the potential for £36.7m to follow based on performance-related add-ons.

The Frenchman hasn’t exactly become a hero at Camp Nou, with injury and a lack of form at times making life very difficult for him.

Klopp has long since been a fan of Dembele’s and actually met with him in Paris before he completed a move to the German’s former club Borussia Dortmund, according to Four Four Two.

With Dembele struggling at Barcelona and Liverpool needing to sign a new forward this summer to pave the way for Daniel Sturridge to leave the club, Don Hutchinson has urged the Reds to sign the French attacker.

Klopp has shown a willingness to deploy Firmino in a deeper more creative role behind a no.9 and if Dembele was signed, Liverpool could lineup with Mane as the striker and Salah and the Barcelona forward on the wings.

Similar to Manchester City, signing the former Rennes high flyer would bless Klopp with an embarrassment of riches which would enable the German to continue challenging the Sky Blues for the Premier League title.

Of course, he would not come cheap and his price tag would be a major stumbling block but if Klopp is as keen on the Frenchman as he has shown in the past, signing him is not out of reason.
