Mohamed Salah told Gianluca Di Marzio that he would love to play with Daniele De Rossi again after playing with the Roma legend in Serie A.
He said: “He is a legend of the club and of Italian football, not just because he is a great friend of mine.
“A future for him in the Premier League? It would be beautiful, but I don’t know if it’s possible. It would be pleasing for me to play with him again, he is an optimal player.”
Liverpool are set to play their second Champions League final in two years but will also have a keen eye on the transfer market dealings of other clubs.
Michael Edwards will play no role in the fate of the final on Saturday but he will already be hard at work in negotiating transfers for Jurgen Klopp and will be aware of the players that are available on a free transfer.

One such player is Daniele De Rossi, who has said his farewell to Roma and the Stadio Olimpico.
It might seem unlikely but De Rossi might be a brilliant stop gap for Klopp and co if James Milner does leave this summer as the Italian will not be expecting to start regularly.
If offered the chance to continue playing in the biggest games in European football, the living legend might be keen on relocating to Merseyside for the final years of his career.
It would certainly be an interesting transfer but not one that will hurt the Reds if it does not come to pass.
