The Mirror claims that James Rodriguez is a person of interest for Liverpool as the Colombian wants out at Bayern Munich and won’t return to Real Madrid.
The report claims that Liverpool are keen to capitalise on the Colombian’s decision to leave Munich this summer.
Sky Sports Germany indicates that although the Bundesliga champions have the option to buy Rodriguez for £36m, the player doesn’t want to stay at the club.
Liverpool could potentially be signing the playmaker they have been craving since Philippe Coutinho jumped ship 17 months ago but many supporters on social media are against it.
They claim the 27-year-old is overrated and feeding off the incredible World Cup campaign he enjoyed in 2014 when he finished the tournament as top goalscorer with six goals.
Here is how fans have reacted on Twitter.
He was invisible against us. No ta.

If the Colombian is available for £36million or thereabouts as Sky Germany claim, it wouldn’t be a high-risk move like moving for the likes of Coutinho would be.
Liverpool aren’t strapped for cash after reaching the Champions League final in back to back seasons and posting a record pre-tax profit for the most recent financial year, according to the BBC.
