Liverpool supporters have reacted to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda’s claims that the Reds might sign Gareth Bale following the Champions League final.
Jurgen Klopp needs to add a new forward to his ranks this summer and is reportedly looking at Gareth Bale.
Inda said: “It is very likely that Bale will reach either of the two finalists in the Champions League, Tottenham or Liverpool.”
While Bale is a fantasy signing for a lot of teams, the Welshman is not what is needed at Anfield.
Firstly, the former Spurs winger simply doesn’t fit the age profile that Klopp and FSG favour and secondly, his ego and wage demands would upset the equilibrium in place on Merseyside.
Liverpool fans have reacted to the story on Twitter and it’s safe to say most fans are against the idea of signing Bale.
Bale to Liverpool? LOL

No. Too old.

He’s only started about (roughly) 50 per cent of the last 150 Real Madrid games. Will be on at least 300k a week. Absolutely no chance Liverpool will be interested.

No he's turning 30, injury prone and has astronomical wage demands

That transfer is for a team that wastes money, like Chelsea or Man Utd.
For that transfer fee we could get 3 future WorldClass players. Or a top class bench of squad players including their wages.
Bale makes £31.5m per year PLUS bonuses!

Liverpool would be much better served going for a younger player like Lyon’s Memphis Depay, who is the ideal forward for Klopp to work his magic with and turn into a world class player.
He struggled at Manchester United but could become a brilliant attacker in Merseyside Red.
