Liverpool fans have had a mixed reaction to the news that Jurgen Klopp might be interested in signing Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse.
The German forward has been linked with a move to Anfield by Sport1 as his contract nears its expiry.
Kruse will be a free agent at the end of June and reports from his homeland claim that Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing him this summer on a free transfer.
Seeing as he is over the age of 23, Bremen will not be owed compensation and there are some who believe that he could be a good stop-gap solution to Daniel Sturridge leaving this summer.
Others feel as though him being 31 years of age is problematic even if the Reds won’t need to pay a fee to secure his signature.
Here is how fans have reacted on Twitter.

Too old. Does not fit the recruitment bill

Kruse is on a free? Wouldn’t shock me then. Has Klavan-esque written all over it. https://t.co/nCQFoHtKOQ

Max Kruse for free, and a LB under £10m and save the money for next summer seems like a good plan whether we invest lots or none we finish 2nd next season anyway

I’m not convinced there is anything in the Kruse links. 31 years old, large wage demands and hardly sets the world alight. Goes against everything FSG, but I’ve been wrong before. #LFC

Liverpool are sure to strengthen their squad this summer, with Sturridge, Moreno and Lallana among those sure to leave the club at the end of the season.
While most of the players that are set to leave don’t play regularly, they do serve as deputies to those starting and Klopp relies on their presence in case of injury or suspension.
