Ugurcan Cakir’s agent told Turkish news outlet Ajansspor that Liverpool have made contact with Trabzonspor over a move for the 23-year-old goalkeeper.
One of the unsung heroes this season has to be Simon Mignolet as the Belgian has been extremely professional in his approach to not being played as often as he would like.
Despite only making a singular FA Cup appearance, the former Sunderland shot-stopper has not said anything controversial to the press or upset the balance in the Liverpool dressing room.

Alisson Becker’s arrival from AS Roma for £67million guaranteed that Migs would spend most of the season on the bench and with the season drawing to a close, he is set to depart this summer.
Ugurcan Cakir is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar and his agent has now told Ajansspor that his client has been the subject of an approach from Liverpool.

He said: “Every team has scouts and some of them are following Ugurcan’s matches. Schalke haven’t made an official offer for him.

“I know Lille and Schalke are following him. Liverpool are also interested in him. Liverpool officials have talked with us, we had some contacts, but no official offer has come from them.”
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has superb reflexes and has displayed a very domineering style of play in the Super Lig this season and is a player that likes total command of his box.
While he would be signed with the view to playing as Alisson’s deputy, he would likely be given opportunities in the domestic cups which have never been a priority for Jurgen Klopp.

Signing a reserve goalkeeper is something of a priority for Liverpool even if it’s not a position that will receive huge investment.
Signing a new centre half, left and right backs, a new midfielder and a striker will be top of Michael Edwards’ priorities this summer.
