Liverpool had scouts in attendance during a Lyon win over Ligue 1 rivals Marseille, according to Mercato365, and supporters are excited.

The Reds might still have a Champions League final to look forward to next month yet all the talk on social media is about which club will sign which player when the transfer window opens up.

After a stunning season in the Premier League and in Europe, Liverpool will be able to sign some of the best players in the world.

A report from Mercato 365 claims that Liverpool had representatives at the Orange Velodrome as Lyon beat Marseille 3-0 on Sunday.

The Reds were apparently watching Houssem Aouar, Tanguy Ndombele and Memphis Depay. All three Lyon stars would make fine additions under Jurgen Klopp’s keen eye even if it’s difficult to see where exactly they would fit in.

Aouar has posted a cryptic message on Twitter and fans have reacted, urging the young Lyon star to join Liverpool.

Liverpool will be looking to invest in their already hugely talented squad this summer as their goal for next season will be to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp is close to perfecting his side and is just a few tweaks away from the ideal starting XI and bench.
