Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain missed a Liverpool training session at Melwood, according to the Mirror, and are now doubts to face Barcelona.
The Reds will welcome Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho to Anfield this evening for the second leg of the Champions League semifinals but will be without key performers.
Naby Keita, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah will all be missing through injury and Klopp could have fresh injury concerns.
The Mirror’s Dave Maddock reports that Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were missing from Liverpool’s last training session before the game at Anfield.
Apparently, the latter felt a muscle pull while warming up against Newcastle on Saturday and van Dijk has been struggling with a foot injury which he has been playing through in recent weeks.
While there is a chance for the Dutchman, his English counterpart will almost certainly miss the Barca game as there is little point risking him at this stage of the season.
Klopp will attempt to do the impossible and overturn a 3-0 first leg defeat against Barcelona without Firmino and Salah up front as well as without Keita in midfield.
The German could potentially be without van Dijk as well but has confirmed that Rhian Brewster will be given a chance at Anfield.
With the final day of the Premier League seasong looming large, there is still a chance that Liverpool could still win the title and Klopp might be reticent to go gung ho against Barcelona.
Liverpool supporters at Anfield will be right up for the fight even if there are so many key players absent through injury.
If the Reds can score a goal in the first 10 minutes, the stands will be bouncing and the Kop will look to drag its stars through a tough game.
