Rhian Brewster will start on the bench for Liverpool when their Champions League semi-final opponents Barcelona visit Anfield this evening, according to the Mirror.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will miss the second leg this evening after the club confirmed the nature of their respective injuries will see them miss the massive clash.

This comes as a major blow for Liverpool’s ambitions of launching one of the most dramatic comeback jobs Europe has ever seen as they need to overcome a 3-0 first leg defeat.

With two of Liverpool’s best-attacking players ruled out this evening, it could pave the way for an unexpected narrative.

The 18-year-old has the chance to enter the hearts of Liverpool fans all around the world if he can find a way score against the Catalonians this evening.

He has made a name for himself as an instinctive and talented finisher in Liverpool’s academy. He will find himself up against fully grown men for the first time this evening but will be ready to make a mark.
