Spanish football expert Guillem Balague told his YouTube channel that, if Liverpool start strong against Barcelona, they could blow the La Liga giants away.

Manchester United lost to Barcelona 4-0 on aggregate in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals but Liverpool can beat Barca to go through to the final, says Balague.

He told his YouTube channel, via the Daily Star: “Barcelona have shown weaknesses of course.”

“In the first 10 minutes against Manchester United, if it had been Liverpool, it could have been Salah, Mane, 2-0 to Liverpool and end of the fixture almost – even though this was the second leg, but you know what I’m trying to say.

“If you give the advantage to Liverpool and they take it, and they normally do, it will be Liverpool going through.

“Unless Messi decides otherwise.”

Under Klopp, the Anfield outfit have proved to be one of the best European sides. They have come a long way from the team that lost the Europa League final and finished eighth in the Premier League in his first half-season as manager.

Now, there is a lot more experience and talent in his squad. The back five alone has developed incredibly.

With Alisson and van Dijk added into the mix, Liverpool have been transformed into arguably the best side defensively in Europe.

With Manchester City looking likely to win the Premier League ahead of Liverpool, fans will be more grateful than ever that the Reds have made it to the Champions League semi-finals.

Klopp’s men may (or may not) miss out on the league title but they still have a very good chance to win the biggest club competition in the world.

Standing in their way is Barcelona. It’s not the same side that was dominant in the late 2000s but they still have Lionel Messi, the greatest footballer in history.

If Liverpool can contain the little magician, the Reds will be on their way to Madrid for their second Champions League final in a year.
