Ian Rush told Sky Sports that Liverpool’s players have a tight-knit relationship with each other and are laughing and joking in training.

The Reds have a lot to be excited about with the potential for a cup and league double still alive and well.

Rush said: “I’ve been to training sessions and I’ve seen Liverpool players laughing and joking between things but when they’re working, they work.

“And when they have a break, they are talking to each other, they are enjoying being with each other, they put their arms around each other and that comes from the manager.”

When Klopp arrived at Liverpool in 2015, his biggest job was to get rid of the malaise that spread seeped into the players and fans at the end of Brendan Rodgers’ spell as manager.

His objective was to change doubters into believers and this also included the players at the club.

The way the Reds played football showed that they didn’t quite believe that they had what it took to become champions.

Since the start of last season, however, there has been a visible change in the Liverpool fans and players as they made it to the Champions League final.

It looks as though Klopp could take his side to the final once again and could even beat Manchester City to the Premier League title with a little help from United.

The general consensus among Liverpool fans is that whatever happens between now and the end of the season, this season will be one to celebrate.

There is a chance Liverpool could end the season with 97 points, a points total that can only be beaten by Manchester City who could achieve 98.

That on its own speaks volumes. The only side that can beat them in the Premier League is a side that is being accused of financial doping.

Only the most negative supporter could find fault in Liverpool for not being better this season.
