Liverpool face Porto away from home on Wednesday evening and Jurgen Klopp will likely select a strong lineup despite the Reds’ two-goal lead.
After winning 2-0 at Anfield last week, the Merseysiders will travel to Portugal in good spirit.
And with his side in a good position to progress to the next round, Klopp might be tempted to rotate.
He’s likely to keep the same back five that was fielded when Chelsea were put to the sword this weekend but at least one change is needed in midfield.
Jordan Henderson has been in fine form over the last few weeks, with Klopp moving the Englishman further forward to play as a no.8.
Despite playing very well recently, the skipper needs a rest and should be benched on Wednesday.
He was substituted on Sunday as a result of an ankle injury and Klopp needs to give him a few days to recover so that he is fit for the run in.
Naby Keita and Fabinho have been brilliant as well but with the latter playing very little football recently, there’s no reason for him to be rested.
And, of course, the front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah has to start up front.
The trio is beginning to look more and more like the forward line that devastated opposition sides last season.
Predicted starting XI: Alisson, Robertson, van Dijk, Matip, Trent, Keita, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Salah.
