Liverpool have four Premier League fixtures left this season and a 100% win ratio would put them in a great position to win the title.
Social media has been awash with positive posts since Jurgen Klopp’s Reds beat Maurizio Sarri’s Blues on Sunday at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah’s thunderbolt from range secured the three points for Liverpool and sent them back to the top of the Premier League.
Manchester City face Spurs and Manchester United in back to back gameweeks and Liverpool fans are desperate to see them drop points and hand the title to the Merseysiders.
What is obvious for all to see is that if there to be any chance of the title being awarded to the Reds, four wins from four will be required.
With an intriguing stat emerging, Liverpool need to take note.
In the last 51 games that Klopp’s side has scored first, they have won 42 and drawn 9. With that in mind, the message for the rest of the season should be to go out and get an early goal.
Of course, there has been the odd game where the opposition has come back and equalised and held Liverpool to a draw but it’s clear that scoring early goals could be key to winning the title.
Having said that, late goals against Southampton and Spurs over the last few weeks will show opposition sides that this Liverpool team will not quit until the final whistle.
Their ability this season to score at the very death is the trait of a title-winning side.
Should the Reds be named Champions of England, very few will be able to argue that it’s not deserved.
