Alisson kept his eighteenth clean sheet of the Premier League season against Chelsea and could surpass David De Gea with one more in his remaining four games.
The Brazilian joined the Reds for £66million last summer and has been phenomenal ever since. If things go to plan, he could win a Premier League title in his first season at the club.
Regardless of what happens in the next month, he will be ecstatic with his own performances. Not only has he helped his new team challenge for the title, but he is also on course to win the Golden Glove as well.
Liverpool have been missing a top-class goalkeeper since Pepe Reina was sold by Brendan Rodgers in 2014, but in Alisson they have one of the world’s best.
With four games remaining, Alisson has the chance to overtake David De Gea and a host of other top class goalkeepers by keeping a few more clean sheets.
If he manages to keep just one more in the remaining games, he will overtake David De Gea and Joe Hart by securing his 19th of the season.
He won’t be able to keep 24 and so Petr Cech’s record is safe for another season.
The Brazilian can, however, beat Reina’s incredible tally of 20 from the 2005/06 season.
Winning the Premier League in his first season with Liverpool would be an amazing achievement.
More and more fans are beginning to believe that this season could be the season.
