Liverpool must sell Adam Lallana this summer while the former Southampton skipper still has a decent market value.

The 30-year-old has been incredibly unlucky with injuries and has missed a lot of football while at Liverpool. Since joining the Reds in 2014, he has missed 396 days through injury.

While the Englishman was never going to be a world beater, he was never able to make a real contribution at Anfield as a result of his poor fitness.

For Jurgen Klopp, who has done wonders to transform the club back into the European powerhouse it used to be, players like Lallana simply cannot be counted on.

With the form of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to be fit for the start of next season, Lallana won’t be missed but he needs to be sold while he still has some kind of market value.

Liverpool won’t be able to get an enormous fee for the former Southampton skipper but anything over £10million would be an acceptable amount.

While signing a new playmaker might not necessarily be on Klopp’s shopping list, it would be weird if he didn’t given his well-publicised attempt to bring Nabil Fekir to Anfield.

Liverpool were prepared to sign the Frenchman for £53million even though they already had Naby Keita and it seems logical to suggest he’ll try again or for a similar player.
