Fans want Liverpool to sign Ajax forward David Neres

Fans on Twitter want Liverpool to sign David Neres this summer after Le10Sport reported this week that the Reds are tracking him.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly bid €40million (£34.4m) while the French news outlet claims that Liverpool are merely monitoring his progress at the moment.

After the report was published, the young forward bagged a stunning goal against Juventus as Ajax strive to do the unthinkable and go all the way and win the Champions League for the first time since 1995.

With a thrilling and exciting team, the Dutch outfit looks capable of troubling any team in the world but they are at risk of having their side picked apart this summer.

Frenkie de Jong has already secured a big money move to Barcelona while Matthijs de Ligt is also likely to leave. Meanwhile, young David Neres is making a name for himself and may secure a move abroad as well.

Liverpool fans have been in full voice on Twitter over the club’s reported interest in Neres and after he scored the equaliser against Juve last night, he sent a message to all those that are keen on landing him this summer.

Here’s what Reds supporters have been saying on social media.

Yesterday, we wrote that Liverpool shouldn’t sign Neres because he would struggle to make the Reds’ first team and that, with Rhian Brewster on the books, Jurgen Klopp doesn’t need him.

Boy, were we wrong. The Brazilian is exactly what Liverpool need as backup to Sadio Mane. His performances against Real Madrid and now Juventus have shown that he has what it takes to play against the biggest teams on the biggest stage.

If his reported £34.4million price tag is accurate, he could be one of the steals of the summer.
