Liverpool are interested in David Neres, according to Le10Sport, but the Brazilian will find it difficult to break into the Reds starting XI.
PSG are apparently also keen on acquiring Neres while Borussia Dortmund have submitted a £34.4million (€40m) bid to Ajax.
The Reds, however, have yet to make an offer for the 22-year-old and are merely tracking his progress in Holland, Le10Sport claim.
Signing Neres would be problematic for the young forward as he would face an uphill battle to start for the Merseysiders. He has played 34 times for Ajax this season but would struggle to start for Liverpool.
With Roberto Firmino showing once again why he is Klopp’s go-to man in the no.9 position, the only spot up front that would be available to Neres would be as a backup.

For a young forward, the last thing he will be looking for is a role that sees him spend more time on the bench than on the pitch.
For Liverpool, signing Neres would be brilliant as they would acquire an exciting young forward but with Rhian Brewster set to return for the start of pre-season, the Ajax striker is not needed at Anfield.
It speaks volumes about the quality at Liverpool currently that Jurgen Klopp doesn’t need to break his neck trying to sign one of Europe’s brightest attacking talents.
Brewster was supposed to be a big part of the Liverpool squad this season but the two surgeries he needed to fix his ankle prevented him from featuring at all.
Having made a return to action for the Liverpool U23s, he will now look forward to pre-season where he can once again prove to Klopp his worth.
