Danilo Pereira told King Fut before Porto visited Anfield to face Liverpool that Mane, Salah and Firmino wouldn’t score against him.

After Naby Keita opened the scoring with his second goal in as many games, Robert Firmino finished off a move he started in midfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold squared for his Brazilian teammate to score after Jordan Henderson played a penetrating through ball for the Scouser to run onto.

Danilo told King Fut: “Playing against Salah, Firmino and Mane? They will not go past me! [Laughs]. That’s what I think and I give my all the best.”

Danilo was always playing with fire claiming that a front three that has scored a combined 59 goals this season wouldn’t score past a defence that conceded five goals against Liverpool last season.

The 27-year-old looks a bit silly for his comments but for Reds fans, they will just be delighted that Firmino has continued his fine form at a crucial stage of the season.

The Brazilian has two goals and three assists in his last four games for Liverpool.

This is the best form the front three has been in for the entire season and it couldn’t be happening at a better time.

Klopp will be desperate to get every ounce of quality out of each of his players. Liverpool are within touching distance of completing a double if they can maintain their current form.

Do you think Liverpool can complete a League and European Cup double this season? If not comment what is the most likely scenario for the Reds.
