A Liverpool fan has pointed out that the last time Watford reached an FA Cup final was in 1984, the same year the Reds won the League Cup, First Division and the European Cup.

Jurgen Klopp has worked wonders at Anfield and the Reds could make this the best season fans have seen in over 30 years.

Top of the Premier League table and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Liverpool could win a league and cup double if things go perfectly.

After Watford beat Wolves in dramatic form at Wembley on Sunday, a hugely positive omen has emerged that will boost confidence among supporters.

Liverpool won a League Cup, First Division title and European Cup treble in 1984, the same year Watford reached their first FA Cup Final.

With the Hornets facing Manchester City in this year’s showpiece, a fan on Twitter has alluded to the fact that Liverpool could win the Premier League and Champions League this season.

In doing so, this Reds side would no doubt secure their place among the club’s greatest players of all time and gain vital experience as Jurgen Klopp strives to turn this group of players into serial winners.
