Liverpool fans on Twitter have reacted to claims that Eden Hazard should be named PFA Player of the Year after scoring two goals against West Ham.
The Belgian was in the mood when West Ham visited Stamford Bridge and scored an incredible individual goal to open the scoring in the first half.
His second strike was brilliant as well but he was left in far too much space at the far post and had the time to take a touch in the box before firing across Lukasz Fabianski into the bottom corner.
Opposition fans have now started claiming that Hazard now deserves to be crowned PFA Player of the Year despite the consistent brilliance of Virgil van Dijk this season.
Hazard has 28 goal involvements in the Premier League this season but van Dijk’s defensive contributions have lifted the Reds to the top of the Premier League table.
The Dutchman has also been consistent in his match-winning displays while Hazard is guilty of ghosting on occasion.
The last 3 “masterclasses” Hazard has dropped (City in EFL Cup, Huddersfield at home, Spurs in EFL Cup) have been followed by:
– Ghosting vs Spurs
– 6-0 to City
– 4-0 to Bournemouth
No one disputes the talent. Just the consistency. Why doesn’t THAT Hazard regularly show up?

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Hazard is a brilliant footballer but there are serious questions hanging over his ability to play at an elite level for 30+ games in a Premier League season.
Awesome goal – doesn’t make him better this season than Virgil Van Dijk… if Hazard did this regularly they wouldn’t be battling for a top 4 spot.
Virgil perfoms each week and that’s why Liverpool are challenging for the title. https://t.co/6zB5gbValk

So Hazard had one really good game and he’s suddenly the best player in the Prem 🤣🤣🤣. Let’s just forget Sadio Mané, Raheem Sterling, Virgil Van Dijk & Sergio Aguero who have been performing week in, week out. Those guys suddenly don’t exist. It was West fuckin Ham. Do shut up!

Honestly if Liverpool's defensive record was a bit shoddy I would've backed Hazard POTY agenda, but Van Dijk is fake man https://t.co/n7qkOWfGl4

Liverpool are challenging for the Premier League while Chelsea have spent the season battling to scrape a top-four finish and that is the defining difference between van Dijk and Hazard’s contributions.
