Georginio Wijnaldum dropped a hint on Twitter on Monday suggesting that he could soon sign a contract extension with Liverpool.
The Dutchman has been in fine form this season and, while he has been criticised for being part of the midfield that started on Sunday against Spurs, he is majorly underrated even by Liverpool fans.
On Monday evening, the former Newcastle United man posted a picture of himself at Anfield.
In the picture, he is being filmed in the stands and accompanied it with a mysterious caption that reads: “I’ve got something special coming up for y’all, stay tuned…”

One fan on Twitter got over 100 likes on a comment pretending to be convinced that Gini has managed to convince Matthijs de Ligt to join Liverpool.
For the most part, Liverpool fans believe that Wijnaldum is teasing a contract extension.
His current deal will expire at the end of the 2020/21 season and it would make sense for Jurgen Klopp to move quickly and tie down one of his most important players as soon as possible.

Liverpool are top of the Premier League, two points ahead of Man City, who have a game in hand and the chance to reclaim their narrow but advantageous one-point lead at the top of the table.
The hope for Reds is that one of Spurs, United or Palace can force Pep Guardiola’s side into dropping points before the end of April.
