Liverpool haven’t lost a game of football at Anfield for 37 games and hold the second-best home record in Premier League history.
The Reds beat Tottenham in dramatic style on Sunday to go back to the top of the table. An own goal from Toby Alderweireld gave Liverpool a one-goal lead in the 91st minute which keeps the title dream alive for Merseysiders.
A strong factor in Liverpool’s title bid this season has been the incredible home form displayed at Anfield. Unbeaten all season at home, a record which stretches beyond this campaign and into last, the Reds have used Fortress Anfield as their place of strength.
Given Manchester City’s spending over the last decade and in the last few years in particular, Pep Guardiola’s side should be running amock but Klopp has done a wonderful job to actually put up a fight.

After scoring yet another late winner, the stat gurus over at Opta shared a gem on Twitter. It’s widely believed that Manchester United have scored the most late goals in the Premier League but they are actually only third in that regard.
OptaJoe tweeted on Sunday night: “Liverpool have scored 33 winning goals in the 90th minute or later in Premier League history, at least eight more than any other side. Pulsating.”
Arsenal are second with 25 and United (22) are third. The Reds will hopefully get the job done this season without having to resort to dramatics again.
Personally, my heart cannot take anything like last night again for at least a few months.
