Liverpool fans on Twitter said that Divock Origi deserves to stay at the club next season as an impact player.
The Belgian attacker was superb when he came on for Jordan Henderson. He used his big frame and strong running to get at Kieran Trippier and won several corners for Liverpool as the Reds piled the pressure onto the London side.
While he hasn’t been exactly prolific this season, Origi has been brilliant given that he has played 90 minutes only twice in his last 11 games, stretching back to the start of 2019.
His late winner against Everton at Anfield, however, will be remembered for all time if Liverpool go on to win the title this season.
Origi managed to convince Trent Alexander-Arnold to let him take a freekick right in front of the Spurs goal and while it almost went in via a deflection off the wall, it was a miserable attempt.
Despite his obvious lack of prowess from dead ball situations, what Origi did do was drive Spurs back at a crucial part of the game with his desire to run at the backline.
Mohamed Salah was more involved in Spurs’ fatal own goal but Klopp will be pleased with what Origi did for the Reds when he came on.
Fans on social media think the Belgian has done enough to avoid getting sold this summer.
Divock Origi is an excellent impact sub. Drives at the defence and always looks to make things happen.
We shouldn’t sell him.

Thought Origi did well after coming on. Battled hard and won the corner that culminated in the winner. As for Fabinho, pretty clear he needs to be starting the remaining games for Liverpool.

We should keep Origi next season. Big, strong, quick and direct. Puts in a shift and always looks lively off the bench and causes tiring defences a few problems.
Unless we get silly money offered, keep him around.

I would love to see Origi offered a role for next season and if he can score a goal or two before the end of this manic title race, very few would argue otherwise.
