Phil Neville told Premier League Productions that Liverpool are lucky to have Mohamed Salah at the club.
The Egyptian scored 32 goals in the Premier League last season and has scored 17 so far this time around. Considering Liverpool paid just £37million to sign him, he is one of the biggest bargains around.
“Salah has that ability to drift in from that right-hand side,” Neville said to Premier League Productions. “Defenders know he’s going to do it but they can’t do anything about it.
“His finishing is absolutely world-class and Liverpool are lucky to have him.”
Mohamed Salah’s start to life at Liverpool has been incredible.
He scored 44 goals in all competitions during his first season at the club and if he returns to form before the end of the season, there’s no reason he can’t hit the 30 goal mark again.
Being double marked by opposition defenders has allowed Sadio Mane to enjoy a rich vein of form. He has scored seven goals in his last five games and is just one goal behind the Premier League’s top goalscorer Sergio Aguero.
With just seven games remaining in the title race, Klopp will be hoping Salah can refind his best form and fire Liverpool to their first Premier League title.
Manchester City have a game in hand over Liverpool but will need to beat United to reclaim the top spot at the end of April.
There is virtually no room left to make mistakes between now and the end of the season as only a few points will separate Liverpool and City come the 12th of May.
