Serge Aurier has suffered a suspected hamstring injury and Eric Dier is a doubt but Kieran Trippier will be fit to face Liverpool on Sunday.
The Liverpool Echo reports that Aurier was substituted after 30 minutes of Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations 2-1 win over Rwanda.
It’s reportedly a suspected hamstring injury and he is now a major doubt to be a part of the squad to face Liverpool.
Eric Dier might also not make the squad after he withdrew from the England national team after sustaining an injury against the Czech Republic. Trippier has, however, recovered from a muscle strain.
Liverpool will be emboldened by any Spurs injury blows as the Reds aim to hold their place at the top of the Premier League and push on in their bid to win the title.
A win over Fulham before the start of the dreaded international break lifted the Anfield outfit to the top of the league. With City facing United at the end of April, there is a chance the champions could drop points and allow Liverpool a crucial advantage in the title race.
And with several players returning from injury for Jurgen Klopp, his side will be right up for the challenge awaiting them in England and in Europe.
