Liverpool could lose Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, according to talkSPORT host Adrian Durham.
Los Blancos will aim to rebuild and reinforce in the summer after their torrid 2018/19 campaign.
Clubs across Europe will brace themselves as they aim to hold onto their best players and Liverpool will be no different.
Van Dijk is the obvious target for Madrid but Durham believes Trent Alexander-Arnold will also be on Zidane’s shortlist.
“At right-back I think he’s going to go for Trent Alexander-Arnold,” Durham said. “Arguably the most exciting right-back in Europe right now.
“Why on earth wouldn’t Real Madrid want to go for Virgil van Dijk? Now, if Liverpool don’t win anything this season, what’s Virgil van Dijk doing?
“Is he thinking to himself ‘I’ll just stick around forever until we do win something?’ or is he thinking what he was thinking at Celtic or Southampton, exactly [moving to a bigger club].
“I think that’s a real concern for Liverpool.”
