Trent Alexander-Arnold, James Milner and Dejan Lovren are all fit to play against Bayern Munich while Naby Keita has picked up a minor injury and hasn’t been included in the squad that travelled to Germany.
With Virgil van Dijk back from suspension, Fabinho free to move back into midfield and a few injury returns, Jurgen Klopp has a strong squad to face his former rivals.
Of the players back from injury, Trent’s presence in the squad is the most encouraging after he was withdrawn late on in the 4-2 win over Burnley.
Without the 20-year-old, the Reds lack creativity as his marauding runs down the right flank relieve considerable pressure on Salah.
Speaking to the media about Trent, Klopp said: “It looks good. He had a bit of a problem obviously but it should not be a major concern.
“He [Lovren] trained in a normal way this morning and he is an option. To play 90 minutes might be a bit much but we will see.”
Milner is also back and there is a chance he could start in midfield after he missed the Burnley game but Liverpool’s best chance of victory is if Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum start together in the centre of the park.
