Harry Maguire sustained an injury during Leicester City’s dramatic 4-3 defeat to Wolves on Saturday manager Claude Puel has confirmed.
The centre back was struggling early on in the game after being clattered when Ryan Bennet outjumped him to open the scoring for Wolves.
The Foxes hope that the injury isn’t serious and that he will be fit to face Liverpool and given they are out of the domestic cups like the Merseysiders, ‘Slabhead’ will have almost two weeks to rest.
Maguire was replaced by Jonny Evans in the second half and limped off with the help of a physio.
“It is his leg,” Puel confirmed. “I don’t think it is a serious injury but he could not continue in the game.
“Perhaps he could not have the good jump (for Bennett’s goal) perhaps because I think he received small injury before the second goal.
“We will see.”
