Liverpool are targeting a new centre forward and a no.10 in the summer while there will be more exits, with Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge expected to leave on a free transfer.
Joining them will be the ill-fated Lazar Markovic who joined the Reds in 2014 for £20m with great expectations but never really came close to meeting them.
Moreno, who is lovable despite his failings on the pitch will be looking to find a new club in the summer as his terms with Liverpool expire at the end of the season. Sturridge faces the same prospects but will leave with more fans singing his name at Anfield.
The news from the London Evening Standard’s David Lynch that has really got everyone talking, however, concerns the incomings that supporters can expect in the summer.
Whatever happens at the end of the season (fingers crossed), Jurgen Klopp appears hell-bent on making sure that it’s not a one-off and will be active in the transfer market once more.
Lynch reports for the Standard that Klopp wants a new centre forward – with Timo Werner a name on the agenda – as well as a no.10 after the Fekir Fiasco last summer.
There could be other departures as well with Liverpool concerned about the fitness of Joel Matip and Adam Lallana while Divock Origi and Simon Mignolet are certain to leave.
