Liverpool’s interest in Christian Pulisic will not change in January unless there is a major change in circumstances while Dominic Solanke has completed a medical ahead of a temporary switch to Crystal Palace.
The Liverpool forward has really struggled for game time this season. Last term, Klopp used the Premier League to rotate his side to prepare for Champions League fixtures which impacted on the Solanke’s minutes positively.
This season, however, the young forward has been on the outskirts of the Liverpool squad as the Reds make a serious push for the league title heading into the New Year.
Solanke has completed a medical with the Eagles ahead of a loan spell in London until the end of the season. It’s a move that suits all parties as Liverpool are happy for him to get Premier League experience and Palace get a bright young forward for the rest of the season.
As far as Christian Pulisic is concerned, however, there seems to be a very mixed message concerning his future with some outlets claiming he’s agreed and signed personal terms with Chelsea while others say the race to sign him is still on.
The latest report on where his future lies comes from ESPN, who claim that Liverpool will not make a move to sign him unless ‘circumstances significantly change’ before the 30th of January.
Given how difficult it is for attacking players, in particular, to adapt to Klopp’s style of play, it does seem unlikely that Klopp will make a move for Pulisic, Nabil Fekir or any of the several playmakers linked.
