Hakim Ziyech’s agent has said that he hopes that his client will be linked with a better club than Roma in the future, saying Liverpool and Arsenal would be ideal.
A 1-1 draw with Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday means that the Reds now go into the international break joint top of the table as a lack of creativity saw Liverpool fail to really trouble the champions.
Although Jürgen Klopp’s side have been very impressive this season, there has been a very noticeable lack of creativity in the middle of the park and Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona seems to be hampering the Reds for the first time since January.
After Nabil Fekir’s summer move to Liverpool collapsed, there were some who thought an alternative would be identified but the summer transfer closed without a creative midfielder being signed.
In the summer, Liverpool were said to be interested in Ziyech and his representative Rene van der Gijp has claimed he hopes that the Reds and Arsenal would be ideal destinations for the Moroccan.
He said: “I hope that there will be a better club than Roma – an Arsenal or Liverpool.”
When asked about a potential move to Everton, however, Der Gijp was less enthusiastic.
“That would be crazy for that boy, he should not go to Everton,” he added.
