Liverpool fans might not agree fully with Jamie Carragher after he said that Eden Hazard is better than Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne.
Last season saw Liverpool’s Egyptian King win an absurd number of personal accolades for his goalscoring form, beating De Bruyne to the PFA Player of the Year award and nipping in front of Harry Kane to win the Premier League Golden Boot.
For many people, Salah has been the best player in England since the start of last season and while he is taking his time getting back into form after a long summer, Eden Hazard has started like a house on fire, scoring five goals in five games.
Sarri has even said that he believes his forward can score 40 goals this season and beat Salah and Kane to the Golden Boot and now, Jamie Carragher says he believes that Eden Hazard is the best Premier League footballer.
“I think Hazard is the best player in the Premier League,” Carragher said. “What I mean by that is, De Bruyne and Salah were the best players last season.
“I’m talking over a four or five-year period if I think ‘who’s the man?’ – [and] I think he’s fantastic. I think he was the best player at the World Cup. He should have won player of the tournament.
“The great thing that I love and say about every top attacking player is they can’t be bullied, they can’t be knocked off the ball.
“Me as a defender thinks ‘can I get at him? Can I wind him up? Can I do this? Can I do that?’. No, he’s too strong.”
