Neymar has bizarrely predicted that Liverpool will not finish in the top four, with Spurs and Manchester United tipped by the Brazilian to end up higher in the table.
Liverpool are set to host Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield in two week’s time in what will surely be one of the best games of football in Europe all season.
Their talisman, Neymar, has ensured that he will be treated to a feisty atmosphere by claiming the Reds will not finish in the top four this season.
According to the Daily Express, the former Barcelona superstar was asked who he thinks will finish in the Premier League’s top four this season.
“Who will win it? Woah that’s difficult,” Neymar said. “It’s very hard, very difficult, but Manchester City will win it.
“Second will be United, third is Chelsea. Fourth is Tottenham.”
When asked to explain one very notable absentee, Neymar confirmed “no Liverpool.” The Reds have made a flawless start to the season, winning four out of four and topping the Premier League table heading into the international break.
Klopp’s side will have their title credentials tested at Wembley on Saturday 15 September before hosting PSG at Anfield three days later.
