Simon Mignolet’s agent has issued a ‘come get me plea’ to Napoli after appearing on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli and confirmed that the Serie A side is interested in his client.
It’s quite clear that Liverpool won’t be needing Simon Mignolet’s skills this summer after signing Alisson Becker from AS Roma last month in what was a record-breaking deal worth £65million.
Loris Karius is now Klopp’s second choice goalkeeper which means that at the age of 30, Si Mignolet will not be playing regular football.
The player’s agent, however, has been talking him up in the media in the hope of securing a big move to get him playing regularly again.
Nico Vaesen told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “Mignolet likes Napoli and the admiration is not new. Napoli have enquired about the boy on several occasions in previous transfer windows.
“However, there is nothing guaranteed about his move to Napoli at the moment and we will have to wait for the next few days to see whether they will make an offer.
“Considering that the market will close soon, they will have to make a move soon if we want to further the negotiations for everyone to reach an agreement.”
