Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that the scan Fabinho had on a knock he picked up is clear and that the Brazilian should be fit to face West Ham while Dejan Lovren is unavailable.
With the Reds taking on the Hammers on Sunday in their first Premier League game of the 2018/19 season, excitement and anticipation among supporters is at an all-time high.
All eyes will be on new boys Alisson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keïta while Fabinho is one that fans have worried about as far as his fitness is concerned after he was pictured driving out of Melwood with a club doctor.
Klopp has now cleared it all up, saying that the Brazilian should be fit to play against West Ham at Anfield as well as providing an update on Lovren, Trent and Hendo.
Klopp said: “Fabinho is clear. He had a scan but the check was clear. Then he felt ill so we sent him home again and I haven’t seen him again. We will see.
“We will see about the England boys and Dejan. They are all in different shape. Trent has had longer, which is good. Hendo is full of power but hasn’t been back long. It’s Hendo though, you always think about him.
“Dejan is unavailable for the weekend.”
