Lyon are making moves to sign former Aston Villa man Jordan Veretout and some believe the Ligue 1 side are making tracks to make way for Nabil Fekir.
As we all are well aware by now, Liverpool’s primary transfer target this summer was Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir.
If it weren’t for a widely publicised break down in negotiations with Lyon last month, Fekir would be on the verge of linking up with Liverpool for final pre-season games before the start of the new Premier League season.
Some Liverpool fans believe that a move can still be completed this summer and if reports are to believed, Lyon have identified a replacement for the creative playmaker.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lyon have made an offer of €28million plus bonuses for former Aston Villa man Jordan Veretout but Fiorentina are not keen on releasing the 25-year-old.
With under two weeks remaining for Liverpool to sign Nabil Fekir, the pressure is on for the Reds if there is a strong desire to complete a deal.
Jurgen Klopp was cryptic when asked about signing the Frenchman but despite his usual approach to handling transfer questions from the media, he refused to rule out a late move for Fekir.
