Talented teenager Sam Durrant has joined Blackburn Rovers from Liverpool and will initially join Billy Barr’s Under-18s squad.
Yesterday, it was announced that Liverpool had signed Bobby Duncan from Manchester City for £200,000 after he rejected a lucrative contract with the Premier League champions.
Now today, it has been revealed an Academy striker is going the other way as Blackburn Rovers have signed Sam Durrant.
The youngster has signed a two-year scholarship and one-year professional contract and will officially join Rover’s Academy on July 1st.
After signing for the club, Durrant said: “It’s great because I believe I’ve got an opportunity here and it’s a great chance for me to progress as a player and as a person.
“This club provides opportunities for young players to progress and play first team football and hopefully that’s something I can do.
“There are some great players and some good people to work with here, so that can only make me a better player. I can’t wait to get going and settle in.”
