Liverpool were interested in Christian Eriksen for years and were heavily tipped to sign the stunning Danish midfielder but missed out to Tottenham.
Although Tottenham signed Christian Eriksen in 2013, Liverpool signed Philippe Coutinho for £8million from Inter Milan, proving to be one of the best pieces of business in the club’s history when he was sold for £142m.
That said, looking at how incredible Eriksen has been for Tottenham, it’s upsetting to think that he could have wound up being a Red.
For a few years before his move to London, the Danish midfielder was tipped to make the move to Anfield but it never materialised for one reason or another.

According to ex-West Ham boss Slaven Bilic: “Eriksen, all the big clubs are after him.
“The only reason why he’s not a huge, huge name is because he’s supposed to be very humble, an ordinary guy, whereas nowadays you need to be a bit more like what Pogba is having off the pitch.
“We played about five or six times against Spurs in the league and in the cup, sometimes he didn’t play well but it’s impossible to man mark him. Just watch his goals.
“He’s quick enough and then he’s not a player who will take the ball and beat six players.
“He can play with one touch or two touches. He’s got that great quality of feeling the space around him and when to come in. So to mark him individually it’s pointless.”
