John Barnes says that Liverpool fans should trust Jürgen Klopp on any decisions made on Nabil Fekir after the Frenchman’s move to Anfield was scrapped.
Earlier this month, Liverpool scrapped a move for Nabil Fekir after an issue with his knee was found during a medical.
The Reds then wanted to renegotiate the £53m transfer fee that had already been agreed to negate any risk that would come with signing a player who is prone to suffering a serious injury.
Fekir suffered an ACL injury in April of 2016 and although he has only missed 10 games in total since then, Liverpool are still concerned.
Speaking to Bonus Code Bets, John Barnes said: “If they feel that there is a medical issue then they shouldn’t [sign him].

“Liverpool have to do what they think is right and Jürgen Klopp has to make those decisions. Obviously, we trust Jürgen Klopp and the choices he makes so if he decides not to sign him then we shouldn’t [doubt him].
“If he decides to sign him with his slight injury but it’s not an injury that’s going to stop him playing and we feel it’s worth it then I’ll back him.”
